Jimenez will take a break for a second straight game as he continues to deal with an ear infection and sore throat. Ryan Cordell is starting in left field and hitting ninth in place of Jimenez on Thursday. According to Scot Gregor of the Chicago Daily Herald, Jimenez will be available in an emergency Thursday, though he's more likely to return Friday against the Tigers.
