Marshall (elbow) tossed a 25-pitch bullpen session Monday as he continues to close in on beginning a minor-league rehab assignment, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
Marshall has been on the injured list since late June with a strained right flexor pronator in his elbow. He was able to resume throwing in late July, and has now progressed to throwing off a mound. While the club has yet to schedule a rehab assignment for the right-hander, he does not appear to be far off from pitching in a live game.
