Marshall (elbow) has been sent to Triple-A Charlotte to begin a rehab assignment, James Fegan of The Athletic reports.
Marshall had been throwing bullpen sessions recently, but he'll now return to game action with the Triple-A club. The right-hander has been on the injured list since June 29 due to a strained right flexor pronator in his elbow, but he's close to rejoining Chicago's bullpen.
