Crochet allowed a run on four hits over four innings in a no-decision Friday. He struck out nine during the victory against Houston.
Crochet coughed up a run in the third inning but managed to produce a ridiculous 17 whiffs on just 55 pitches. Of those 17 swinging strikes, 11 came via the four-seam fastball, which averaged 97.7 mph. Crochet seems to be on a strict innings limit as he hasn't thrown more than four innings in any start since the beginning of July. During that span, he's posted a 6.17 ERA while punching out 35 batters across 23.1 frames. His next start is lined up to be in San Francisco.
