Crochet (6-11) allowed four runs on five hits and a walk while striking out three over two innings to take the loss versus the Red Sox on Saturday.
Crochet's workload continues to drop as part of the White Sox's plan to trim his innings. He wasn't particularly good in this game either -- he needed 51 pitches to get through two frames, laboring through a four-run first inning by Boston. While he's maintained a 3.83 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 191:32 K:BB over 134 innings across 29 starts this season, his current workload all but guarantees he won't pitch deep enough to be eligible for wins unless he's ultra efficient. His next start is projected to be at home versus the Athletics, but Crochet has limited fantasy utility over the remainder of 2024.
