Sheets is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Guardians.
With lefty Joey Cantillo on the hill for Cleveland, Sheets and fellow left-handed hitters Nicky Lopez and Dominic Fletcher will retreat to the bench. Bryan Ramos will fill in for Sheets as Chicago's designated hitter.
