The White Sox claimed Pauley off waivers from the Marlins on Monday.
Pauley has been unable to find his footing at the major-league level thus far, turning in a .209/.272/.364 batting line over 137 games covering parts of three seasons. The 26-year-old infielder does not have minor-league options remaining, so he'll either be on the Opening Day roster next season or have to go through the waivers process again.
