The White Sox optioned Lambert to Triple-A Charlotte on Thursday.
Lambert was lit up for three runs over one inning Wednesday during his first appearance since returning from the injured list. He holds a 6.85 ERA and 1.84 WHIP in the majors, and he will now head to Triple-A to right the ship. Lance Lynn returned from the bereavement list Thursday to fill Lambert's roster spot.
