Hicks will serve as the White Sox's opening pitcher for Sunday's game against the Twins.
Hicks will be making his second start of the season, but since he hasn't been tasked with recording more than five outs in any of his 43 appearances to date, he's unlikely to exceed two innings before giving way to the bullpen. The White Sox haven't designated a bulk reliever to work behind Hicks, though Jose Urquidy would appear to be the most likely candidate to handle those duties.
