Abreu left Monday's game against the Tigers with right hip soreness. He will be re-evaluated Tuesday.
The 33-year-old appeared to be hobbled after landing awkwardly on first base and was ultimately lifted for a defensive replacement in Zack Collins. Abreu went 1-for-4 prior to exiting. His availability for the rest of the series is up in the air.
