Williams signed a minor-league contract with the White Sox on Friday, Bob Nightengale of USA Today reports.
The 27-year-old split time between the Phillies' and Reds' alternate training sites last season, but he didn't see major-league action. Williams appeared in 67 games for Philly in 2019 and had a .151/.196/.245 slash line with 43 strikeouts in 112 plate appearances.
