The White Sox optioned Burdick to Triple-A Charlotte on Monday, LaMond Pope of the Chicago Tribune reports.
A waiver claim from Baltimore last month, Burdick went just 1-for-14 at the dish this spring to earn a trip to Charlotte. He could still spend a good amount of time with the White Sox this season given the club's lackluster options in the outfield.
