Aumont has retired from professional baseball.
Once a top prospect for the Mariners and then the Phillies, the lanky righty never put it together in the majors, finishing his career with a 6.80 ERA and 1.99 WHIP over 46 appearances (one start) with the Phillies. After posting a 12.27 ERA over 10 games for Triple-A Charlotte in the White Sox's organization, he elected to call it quits at age 27.
