The White Sox designated Cusick for assignment on Friday.
Cusick was claimed off waivers by Chicago earlier in the week but has been dumped from the 40-man roster before even making an appearance with Triple-A Charlotte. The right-hander has a 6.32 ERA and 11:14 K:BB across 15.2 innings at the Triple-A level this year.
