Volpe is starting at second base and batting ninth in Tuesday's game versus the Rockies.
Volpe was recalled from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre earlier in the day to take the roster spot vacated by Jazz Chisholm (thumb), and he will get the first opportunity to fill in at the keystone. It will be Volpe's first time playing second base at the major-league level, as he began seeing his first reps at the position in August at SWB.
