Wojciechowski allowed two earned runs on three hits and three walks while striking out four across four innings Wednesday against the Phillies. He did not factor into the decision.
Wojciechowski had his contract selected before the start and made his season debut for the Yankees. He allowed a leadoff home run to Jean Segura but largely managed to work around trouble to keep the Yankees in the game. It remains unclear if he'll get another turn through the rotation, though the team has very few options at starting pitcher with Nestor Cortes (COVID-19) and several others currently sidelined. Prior to this outing, Wojciechowski had managed a 5.68 ERA and 1.60 WHP across 12.2 innings at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
