Wells went 1-for-3 with a solo home run, a walk and two strikeouts in Monday's 5-2 win against the Nationals.
Wells has been sitting a lot against left-handed starters since the return of Jose Trevino, but he was given the start on Monday against Mitchell Parker. His home run in the sixth inning came against right-handed reliever Tanner Rainey, so all 10 of Wells' home runs have come against righties. Wells should continue to hit in the middle of the lineup against righties, and he is slashing .326/.391/.526 over his last 26 games.
