Wells will get a breather while Ali Sanchez starts behind home plate and bats ninth while catching pitches from right-hander Brendan Beck. Wells has struggled at the plate this season and has gone 2-for-39 (.051) with one steal, three RBI and 14 strikeouts since May 31.
