Rortvedt was recalled from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Friday.
Rortvedt has yet to appear in the big leagues this year and has hit .215 with four home runs, 17 RBI and 16 runs over 30 games at Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. He should provide depth behind the dish while Jose Trevino is on the paternity list.
