Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre reinstated Durbin (hand) from its 60-day injured list Thursday and assigned him to Double-A Somerset.
Durbin was slashing .299/.413/.458 with three home runs and 20 stolen bases in 46 games with Scranton/Wilkes-Barre before he was shelved in late May with a right hand injury. He made one rehab appearance with Single-A Tampa last Wednesday before Scranton/Wilkes-Barre opted to activate him a day later. Though Durbin has technically been assigned to Somerset and has gone 2-for-14 at the dish over his four starts at Double-A, he's essentially continuing his rehab assignment. Look for Scranton/Wilkes-Barre to bring Durbin back once he has more time to build up at-bats with Somerset.
