Rodon (16-9) picked up the win over the Athletics on Saturday, allowing five hits and one walk over six scoreless innings while striking out four.
Already enjoying a 2-0 lead by the time he took the mound, Rodon proceeded to shut out the Athletics over six frames despite allowing at least one hit in five of those innings. It marked the second time in his last six starts that the veteran southpaw has hurled six shutout innings, and he's now pitched to the tune of a 1.93 ERA in September through four starts while posting a 2-0 record. Rodon has also held his opponents to two or fewer runs in four consecutive outings to open the month.
