Rodon generated 14 swinging strikes on 102 pitches and tallied three separate 1-2-3 innings to log his first quality start in four August outings. The southpaw has recorded five or more punchouts in 10 consecutive starts and is now tied for the major-league lead in wins with 14. On the season, he owns a 4.16 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 153:45 K:BB across 140.2 innings and lines up to face the Nationals on the road next week.
