The Yankees designated Hampton for assignment Monday.
Hampton is the corresponding move in order to activate Aaron Judge (ribs) from the 60-day injured list. Hampton turned 25 years old last month and has spent much of the 2026 season with Double-A Somerset, where he owns an ugly 9.59 ERA, 2.13 WHIP and 37:28 K:B across 35.2 innings spanning 11 starts.
