Stanton is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the White Sox.
Stanton will get a chance to rest Wednesday after going 1-for-8 with three strikeouts through the first two games of the series. His absence open up the designated-hitter spot for Aaron Judge while allowing Trent Grisham to start in center field.
