Lamb signed a minor-league contract with the Yankees on Friday.
Lamb will report to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre after slashing .317/.453/.492 across 150 plate appearances for Triple-A Salt Lake, but only .216/.259/.353 over 54 PAs with the Angels this season. The veteran utility player doesn't have a spot on the 40-man roster, and is likely only an option for a promotion in an emergency.
