Rosario was outrighted to Double-A Somerset on Saturday.
Rosario was designated for assignment by the Yankees on Thursday, but he'll remain in the organization after clearing waivers. He appeared in 98 games at Double-A Portland last year and hit .231 with three homers, 48 runs, 36 RBI and 11 stolen bases.
