Manager Aaron Boone said Tuesday that Voit (knee) is "very close" to being activated from the 10-day injured list, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.
Voit has been out since July 16 with a bone bruise and inflammation in his left knee. The slugger was previously reported to be targeting an early August activation, but Boone said that he could be activated as soon as Wednesday or Thursday in Tampa Bay, and that he is almost certain to be reinstated by the conclusion of the weekend series in Miami.
