Stroman is moving to the bullpen and will be available in relief Sunday against the Red Sox, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.
The Yankees will go with a five-man rotation for the next week or two, and Luis Gil and Clarke Schmidt have moved ahead of Stroman in the hierarchy. Stroman figures to serve as a long reliever, but he could get a spot start in the final week if the Yankees need to set up their rotation for the postseason.
