Montgomery agreed to a minor-league deal with the Yankees on Monday, Robert Murray of FanSided.com reports.

Montgomery was released by the Mets on March 28, but he'll find a new club just over a week later. The terms of the agreement aren't yet known, but the southpaw will need to pass a physical before the deal is complete. Montgomery was being stretched out by the Mets this spring so he could pitch in multiple roles, but it's not yet clear how the Yankees intend to use him in 2021.
