Goody signed a minor-league contract with the Yankees on Tuesday, Conor Foley of The Scranton Times-Tribune reports.
Goody latched on with the Nationals on a minor-league deal after being released by the Yankees in early July. While Goody posted a 2.86 ERA with Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre to begin the campaign, he struggled to a 5.14 ERA across his 14 innings at Rochester before being cut loose once again. The right-hander will provide New York with minor-league relief depth as he looks to make his way onto the major-league roster down the stretch.
