The Yankees recalled Effross from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Thursday.

He'll take the roster and bullpen spot vacated by Mark Leiter, who has been placed on paternity leave. Effross has permitted two runs over two innings during his time with the Yankees this season.
