The Yankees have recalled outfielder Taylor Dugas from Double-A Trenton, the team announced on Wednesday. Dugas is with the team as outfield insurance in case Carlos Beltran is forced to miss significant time with a rib cage injury.
Dugas was an eighth-round draft pick by the Yankees in 2012. He has been splitting time between Double-A and Triple-A this season. Overall, he owns a poor .198/.316/.235 batting line/
In a corresponding move, the Yankees outrighted right-hander Esmil Rogers to Triple-A Scranton.
