Walters was released Monday after being designated for assignment to make space for Brett Anderson a day prior, J.P Hoornstra of the Southern California News Group reports.
The 26-year-old utility man is now looking for work after struggling through limited time in the majors. Over the last two years, he batted 4-for-35 with 15 strikeouts in action for the Indians and Dodgers after hitting .277/.325/.469 over a seven-year minor league career.
