  • Tanner Anderson: Released by Pittsburgh
    By RotoWire

Anderson (foot) was released by the Pirates on Tuesday, Jason Mackey of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports. Anderson made a single five-inning relief appearance for the Pirates in 2021, giving up two runs on five hits while striking out just a single batter. He now owns a career 5.82 ERA in 38.2 innings at the highest level, which probably leaves him searching for a minor-league deal this winter. He ended his season on the injured list but was merely dealing with a bruised foot, which is unlikely to be a concern by next spring.
