  • Anderson (ankle) made a rehab appearance with Triple-A Round Rock on Saturday, tossing a 1-2-3 scoreless inning. Anderson was placed on the 15-day injured list Sept. 6 with a right ankle contusion but looks to be tracking toward an abbreviated stint on the shelf. The right-hander has typically served as a low-leverage reliever for Texas this season, logging one save and one hold while turning in an 8.10 ERA and 1.61 WHIP across 26.2 innings.

  • Anderson was placed on the 15-day injured list Friday, retroactive to Sept. 5, with a right ankle contusion. The right-hander was forced to leave Wednesday's game after a 103 mph comebacker off the bat of Jazz Chisholm caromed off his ankle. Anderson appears to have escaped with nothing more than a bruise, but it will still cost him at least a couple weeks and could perhaps end his season. Owen White was recalled in a corresponding move.

  • The Rangers recalled Anderson from Triple-A Round Rock on Monday, Jeff Wilson of RangersToday.com reports. Anderson will replace Gerson Garabito -- who threw four scoreless innings Sunday -- on the 26-man roster, giving the Rangers a fresh arm for the start of a three-game series against the Pirates. In 22.2 innings with the Rangers, Anderson has a 7.54 ERA and a 1.50 WHIP.

    By RotoWire

The Rangers recalled Anderson from Triple-A Round Rock on Saturday. Anderson will return to the Rangers to give the team extra bullpen depth as the 27th man for Saturday's doubleheader against the Yankees. The 27-year-old owns an 8.53 ERA and 1.63 WHIP through 19 frames in the big leagues, but he has allowed just two runs (both unearned) in eight Triple-A innings since being optioned to the minors in early July.
