Brian Goodwin became a free agent Friday after declining an outright assignment to the minors.Goodwin was a serviceable part-time player for the White Sox last season, hitting .221/.319/.374 (good for a 94 wRC+) in 271 trips to the plate while spending time at all three outfield spots. He should be able to latch on somewhere in a similar role this winter but has little upside to be anything more than that given that he's heading into his age-31 season.
