Braves' Adam Duvall: Three hits in return to lineup
Adam Duvall went 3-for-3 with a solo homer in Thursday's win over the Phillies.Duvall reached on infield singles in each of his first two at-bats before crushing a 421-foot leadoff homer in the sixth to extend Atlanta's lead to two runs. It marked just the third three-hit performance for the outfielder this season, while the long ball was his first since July 26. Duvall certainly showed out in his return to the starting lineup (his last start was Aug. 12), and he'll look to build off that performance as Atlanta continues to battle through the injury bug down the final stretch of the regular season. However, even after the three-hit effort Duvall is still batting just .181 (4-for-22) in August, with his lone RBI and run for this month coming on Thursday's homer.

Braves' Adam Duvall: Seeing limited opportunities
Adam Duvall is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Phillies.Since making consecutive starts Aug. 11 and 12, Duvall has yet to rejoin the Atlanta lineup, even with Austin Riley (hand) landing on the injured list Tuesday and with Jorge Soler (hamstring) missing a sixth straight start Wednesday. Atlanta has signed Gio Urshela to replace Riley as its main option at third base, while Ramon Laureano has emerged as the preferred option in right field while Soler is day-to-day. Duvall looks like he might have to settle for the short side of a platoon with Jarred Kelenic in left field for now, though he could cede that role to Laureano once Soler is back in action.

Braves' Adam Duvall: Making second straight start
Adam Duvall will start in left field and bat eighth in Thursday's game against the Brewers.Duvall will get his second straight start in left field and has a clearer path to playing time against right-handed pitching after Atlanta designated Eddie Rosario for assignment Thursday, but Duvall's run atop the depth chart is likely to be short-lived. Michael Harris (hamstring) is in the midst of a rehab assignment and could be activated from the 60-day injured list as soon as this weekend, at which point Jarred Kelenic would likely shift over from center field and take on an everyday role in left.

Braves' Adam Duvall: Headed for short side of platoon
Adam Duvall is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Brewers. He finds himself on the bench for the second day in a row, with both absences coming while Atlanta has faced right-handed starting pitchers. Duvall and Eddie Rosario had been operating as Atlanta's primary starters in the corner outfield for much of the past three weeks, but Duvall now looks set to occupy the short side of a platoon with the lefty-hitting Rosario while trade-deadline acquisition Jorge Soler settles into a full-time role in right field.

Braves' Adam Duvall: Goes yard twice in loss
Adam Duvall went 2-for-4 with two home runs and three RBI in Friday's 8-4 loss to the Mets. The veteran outfielder gave Atlanta an early 2-0 lead when he took Kodai Senga (calf) deep in the second inning, before adding a solo shot in the ninth off Jake Diekman. Duvall has taken over the starting job in right field over the last month or so, but only because Atlanta hasn't found a better option -- in his last 20 games, he's slashing just .243/.282/.459 with four homers, nine RBI and a 4:22 BB:K. With Michael Harris (hamstring) due back in mid-August and the team likely to be active at the trade deadline, the clock on Duvall's starting stint could be ticking.

Braves' Adam Duvall: Swats key home run in win
Adam Duvall went 2-for-3 with a three-run homer, a walk and two runs scored in Tuesday's 6-2 win over the Diamondbacks.Duvall powered Atlanta's offense with a huge three-run blast in the sixth to push his team out to a 5-0 lead. He punished an 0-2 curveball from Zac Gallen and subsequently ended Gallen's night. Tuesday was Duvall's third multi-hit effort over his last seven games. He's been seeing the ball much better as of late, slashing .310/.356/.548 with seven RBI and four runs scored in 11 games since June 28. Duvall is still working to get his season-long numbers up, as he's hitting just .191/.260/.336 with eight homers, 25 RBI, 22 runs and an 18:69 BB:K in 242 plate appearances.

Braves' Adam Duvall: Ends homer drought
Adam Duvall went 3-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's win over the Phillies.Duvall snapped a streak of 96 at-bats without a homer in the process. The streak of 24 games without hitting a long ball was the fourth longest of his career and his longest in a single season since 2018. It was also Duvall's second game this week with three or more hits after not having a three-hit game since August of last season. The 35-year-old may be starting to turn it around, but he's still hitting a meager .184/.253/.321 with seven homers and 22 RBI for the season.

Braves' Adam Duvall: Racks up three hits
Adam Duvall went 3-for-4 with a double and one RBI in Wednesday's 3-1 win over the Giants.Duvall has hit safely in five straight games, though Wednesday's performance was his first multi-hit effort since June 13. The veteran outfielder batted a paltry .136 in June, even worse than his .184 mark on the year. He's added a .569 OPS, six home runs, 21 RBI, 19 runs scored and no stolen bases through 217 plate appearances. Duvall has occasionally served in a short-side platoon role, but he should continue to have steady playing time in right field as long as Ramon Laureano (oblique) is out.
