Cubs' Matthew Boyd: Allows four runs Saturday
Matthew Boyd allowed four runs on four hits and two walks across 3.2 innings in Saturday's Cactus League game against the Mariners. He struck out three.Boyd's first spring start went well, but over his last two outings, he's allowed seven runs in six innings. The veteran lefty should still have a rotation spot locked up, but the Chicago Cubs will be cautious with Boyd, who has dealt with a handful of injuries the past few years. His fantasy upside may be somewhat limited if he isn't able to go very deep into games.

He struck out four. After a scoreless spring debut covering two innings Monday, Boyd was less effective in his second appearance. The veteran did continue to rack up strikeouts at a solid clip at least, as he now has six of them through 4.1 Cactus League innings.
