Bailey Falter (7-7) earned the win Thursday, allowing three runs on seven hits and two walks over five innings against the Nationals. Pirates' Bailey Falter: Confirmed to start Tuesday
Bailey Falter (tricep) is scheduled to start Tuesday's game against the Astros in Houston.After returning from the 15-day injured list Monday, Falter will reclaim his spot in what tentatively shapes up as a six-man rotation for the Pittsburgh Pirates. The southpaw was placed on the shelf July 7 with left tricep tendinitis and needed just one rehab start to convince the Pirates that he was ready to slot back into the rotation. Though Falter was limited to just three innings in his rehab start with Triple-A Indianapolis last Wednesday, he tossed 60 pitches in the outing, so he should be relatively stretched out as he rejoins the big club.

The Pittsburgh Pirates activated Bailey Falter (triceps) from the 15-day injured list Monday.While the Pirates haven't yet announced their plans for Tuesday's game in Houston, Falter should be lined up to start if he isn't needed out of the bullpen in Monday's series opener. The left-hander has been out since early July with left triceps tendinitis, but he should be reasonably stretched out for starting duties after throwing 60 pitches during his lone rehab start with Triple-A Indianapolis last Wednesday.
