The Cincinnati Reds recalled Joey Wiemer from Triple-A Louisville on Sunday.Acquired Monday as part of the deal that sent right-hander Frankie Montas to Milwaukee, Wiemer will get the chance to make his Reds debut as he joins the team ahead of its series finale with the Giants. Wiemer likely won't be in line for a long-term stay in Cincinnati, however, as fellow outfielder Will Benson (personal) was placed on the paternity list in a corresponding move and will be away from the team for only 1-to-3 games. The 25-year-old Wiemer has spent the bulk of the season at the Triple-A level, slashing .230/.371/.340 with three home runs and seven stolen bases in 55 games between Nashville and Louisville.
