Phillies' Darick Hall: Clears waivers
The Philadelphia Phillies outrighted Darick Hall to Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Sunday after he cleared waivers.Hall logged 198 plate appearances at the big-league level between the 2022 and 2023 seasons, but he's played exclusively for Lehigh Valley in 2024, slashing .250/.326/.407 with 12 home runs and one stolen base in 350 plate appearances before the Phillies booted him off the 40-man roster Friday. Given that Hall is already 29 years old, is limited to first base defensively and has posted underwhelming numbers at Triple-A this season, it's not particularly surprising that he didn't draw any interest on waivers.

Phillies' Darick Hall: Removed from 40-man roster
The Philadelphia Phillies designated Darick Hall for assignment Friday, Corey Seidman of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports. It's been clear for a while the Hall didn't have much of a future in Philadelphia, and he's now off the 40-man roster with the Phillies needing the spot for someone else. The 29-year-old has just a .726 OPS this season with Triple-A Lehigh Valley, but he's put up some big numbers in the minors in the past, so there could be interest from a team with more of a need at first base or designated hitter.
