Perez (groin) threw live batting practice Monday, Andrew Destin of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

There weren't many details shared about the session, but Perez did tell manager Derek Shelton he felt fine after the activity. Perez may embark on a rehab assignment soon, though there isn't much clarity for the time being.

Manaea pitched 5.2 innings in a no-decision against Texas on Wednesday, allowing three runs on two hits and three walks while striking out six batters.

Manaea gave up just one run through five frames but ran into trouble in the sixth. In that frame, a two-out Josh Smith double narrowed New York's lead to one and resulted in Manaea getting the hook. Reliever Sean Reid-Foley followed by allowing his inherited runner to score, taking Manaea out of contention for a victory. It was still a pretty strong outing overall for the left-handed starter, though he's now failed to complete six innings in each of his past five starts.

Peralta (5-4) earned the win over the Angels on Wednesday, allowing three hits and two walks while striking out eight over six shutout innings.

Peralta gave up six runs over 5.1 innings in his previous start, but he bounced back with one of his best outings of the season. This is the second time he's kept runs off the board through 15 starts this year, and it's his sixth quality start. Peralta is at a 4.06 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 106:29 K:BB through 82 innings. The veteran right-hander's next start is projected to be at home versus the Rangers.

Feltner allowed six runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out six over five innings in a no-decision versus the Dodgers on Wednesday.

Feltner has given up at least four runs in six of his last seven outings. He was on the hook for the loss until the Rockies rallied to tie the game in the seventh inning. His recent poor stretch of pitching has included four home starts, so it's not surprising he's struggled to find stability. Feltner is at a 6.02 ERA, 1.48 WHIP and 73:22 K:BB through 80.2 innings over 15 starts this season. He's projected for a road start versus the Astros his next time out.

Miller gave up five runs on six hits and three walks while striking out two over 6.1 innings in a no-decision versus the Rockies on Wednesday.

Miller missed over two months with a shoulder injury, and making his return at Coors Field was always going to be a tough task. He left the game with a lead in the seventh inning, but the Dodgers couldn't stay ahead. The 25-year-old right-hander has a 6.00 ERA, 1.44 WHIP and 20:9 K:BB over 18 innings through four starts this season. Miller continues to have plenty of upside as a young pitcher supported by a strong offense, but it may take him a few starts to get fully comfortable again in the majors. He's projected for a favorable road matchup versus the White Sox in his next outing.

Hendricks (1-4) allowed one run on two hits across 5.2 innings to earn the win Wednesday against the Giants. He walked one and struck out eight.

Making his first start since May 17, Hendricks looked sharp, particularly with the season-high eight strikeouts. Since that last start and his shift to the bullpen, the veteran has pitched much better than earlier in the season. Hendricks now has a 2.70 ERA over his last 20 innings pitched, including Wednesday's start. He figures to stick in the rotation for now, and his next appearance is tentatively set for Tuesday against the Giants again, this time on the road.

The Cardinals will recall Kloffenstein from Triple-A Memphis on Thursday, Katie Woo of The Athletic reports.

Kloffenstein has spent all season with Memphis, posting a 3.97 ERA and 1.13 WHIP through 77 innings across 14 starts. Although he has been used almost exclusively as a starter throughout his minor-league career, he will likely be used as a multi-inning reliever while with St. Louis. The 23-year-old righty will be making his MLB debut whenever he gets into a game.

Manager Dave Roberts said Buehler will be placed on the injured list Wednesday due to hip discomfort, Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times reports.

The right-hander was struck in the hip by a comebacker Tuesday against the Rockies, but he was also battling a hip issue prior to that incident. Buehler surrendered seven runs during Wednesday's outing and has a 5.84 ERA through eight starts this season, and the IL stint will give him a chance to reset amid the struggles. He's without an official timeline for his return but seems likely to be sidelined beyond the 15-day minumum.

Chirinos didn't factor into the decision Wednesday against the Cardinals, allowing two runs on eight hits over five innings. He struck out six.

Both runs against Chirinos came in the second inning where he allowed four straight hits to lead off the frame, including a Nolan Gorman homer. Otherwise, the 30-year-old right-hander was sharp in his 2024 debut, putting the Marlins in position for an eventual 4-3 victory. Chirinos pitched to a 5.40 ERA across 85 innings between Atlanta and Tampa Bay last season, though he pitched well with Triple-A Jacksonville this year, posting a 3.00 ERA over 12 starts. With Miami still dealing with a rash of injuries to their starting pitchers, Chirinos could warrant a longer look in the rotation. He's currently lined up for a road matchup with the Royals early next week.

The Dodgers activated Miller (shoulder) from the 15-day injured list ahead of his start Wednesday against the Rockies, Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Timesreports.

The right-hander has been sidelined by shoulder inflammation since mid-April, but he's ready to rejoin the big-league rotation after a four-start rehab assignment in the minors. Miller posted a 5.40 ERA, 1.46 WHIP and 18:6 K:BB over 11.2 frames in three outings prior to the injury. Walker Buehler (hip) is headed to the injured list in a corresponding move.
