Embiid (knee) will make his preseason debut Friday against the Timberwolves, according to NBA reporter Chris Haynes.

Embiid scrimmaged Sunday and drew a lot of positive reviews from coaches and players. He has continued to ramp up his rehab at recent practices, though he did get a planned maintenance day Thursday. Given the circumstances, it's likely that Embiid is eased back into action with a modest workload, but he's going to start and maybe play into the second half.
