The 76ers waived Tolliver on Friday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
Tolliver's contract was set to become guaranteed at the end of Friday, so the 76ers decided cut ties with the aging veteran. Philadelphia acquired Andre Drummond and Georges Niang this offseason to bolster their depth behind Tobias Harris and Joel Embiid, making Tolliver dispensable. The 36-year-old could find another team for the 2021-22 season as a veteran bench presence, but his fantasy impact will be minimal at best.
