Bones Hyland: Let go by Atlanta

The Hawks are planning to waive Hyland on Friday, NBA reporter Chris Haynes reports.

Atlanta acquired Hyland from the Clippers on Thursday, but he was mostly viewed as a salary filler to offset the contract of Bogdan Bogdanovic, who was moved to Los Angeles. After averaging 7.2 points, 1.4 assists and 1.2 rebounds in 11.1 minutes across 20 appearances the Clippers this season, the 24-year-old guard will become a free agent once he clears waivers.
