Cotton signed a contract Saturday with Anadolu Efes S.K. of the Turkish Basketball Super League, Hoops Hype reports.
Cotton was hopeful to earn a guaranteed contract from an NBA team on the strength of his quality summer league performance with the Hawks, during which he averaged 12.8 points, 2.6 rebound and 1.4 assists over 19.6 minutes per game in his five appearances while shooting 45.1 percent from the field and 40.9 percent from three-point land. Any offers he might have received apparently weren't enticing enough, however, as Cotton will opt to head overseas in 2016-17. Given that he's just 24 years old and saw action in eight games with the Suns and Grizzlies a year earlier, there's still time for Cotton to resurface at the NBA level.
