Freedom (COVID-19 health and safety protocols) played 12 minutes and recorded three rebounds and no other statistics in Thursday's 108-105 loss to the Knicks.
Freedom cleared protocols Wednesday and was available for the Celtics' two-point loss to the Spurs that day, though he didn't see the court. Head coach Ime Udoka was willing to include Freedom in the rotation for the second end of the back-to-back set, deploying him as the primary backup to Robert Williams. Freedom should be part of the second unit more often than not, but his minutes will likely fluctuate based on matchups and whether or not Williams is dealing with foul trouble.
