Gonzalez is not listed in the starting lineup for Friday's game against Charlotte, Sean Grande of NBC Sports Boston reports.
Gonzalez started in the Celtics' last three regular-season contests. He will head back to the bench for Friday's NBA Cup meeting with the Hornets, though he should still get opportunities as a reserve.
