Jefferson was waived Thursday by the Cavaliers, Dave McMenamin of ESPN.com reports.
With the Cavaliers officially completing their preseason slate, they've started trim down their roster, with Jefferson, Markel Brown and Jonathan Holmes all getting the axe. Jefferson could end up landing with the Cavs' D-League affiliate, the Canton Charge.
