There aren't any readily-available waiver-wire targets that fantasy managers should be scrambling to acquire ahead of Wednesday's main slate. Teams are ironing out their rotations in the aftermath of the trade deadline and some notable players are getting healthy down the home stretch. There hasn't been much action since the All-Star break, but we've identified a trio of players who seem to be trending in the right direction after watching a few games this week.
Here are three interesting waiver-wire targets worth taking a look at in Week 20.
Blocks
Isaiah Jackson, F/C, IND (50% rostered)
Fantasy managers aren't rushing to roster Jackson just yet, but he's well worth taking a look at in Week 20. The Pacers big man is productive enough as a scorer and rebounder but really stands out as a shot blocker. He's averaging 2.4 blocks per game as a starter and has recorded a league-high 10 blocks since the All-Star break.
Assists
Markelle Fultz, G, ORL (34% rostered)
Fultz made his season debut this week and tallied 10 points, two rebounds, and six assists in 16 minutes. While the Magic guard's workload will be limited early on following his return from an ACL tear, his pass-first mentality seems likely to return strong assist numbers. Cole Anthony averages a team-high 5.8 assists per game on 32.8 minutes a night. Fultz has an opportunity to step in as the best playmaking guard in Orlando's backcourt rotation. Fantasy managers who're comfortable with their rosters but want a stash with upside should consider picking Fultz up.
Rebounds
Dwight Howard, C, LAL (12% rostered)
The Lakers don't have many options at center now that they've waived DeAndre Jordan and Anthony Davis is out for the foreseeable future. While Howard's four minutes on Tuesday are cause for concern, he's averaged 9.7 rebounds over his last three contests. Howard will play if Los Angeles doesn't want to get bullied inside. Fantasy managers should keep an eye on him as Week 20 progresses.
